The Tilt Shift Canon “L” series lens is perhaps the highest quality and most innovative of all the “L” lenses as its physical controls allow the photographer to capture new angles not possible before. The price of the Canon TS-E 24mm is hefty as it costs upwards of $2,000 or £1,900 but you absolutely get what you pay for. With a diagonal angle of view (FF) of 84˚ and diagonal angle of view (APS-C) of 60˚ and adjustable movements makes this camera very versatile. The lens itself is quite complex being made of 16 elements in 11 groups with aspherical and UD glass elements to cut down on distortion. It is manual focus only to give the photographer complete control of each picture taken which in my opinion forces creativity. This is a very good thing in my opinion. Tilt, shift and rotate this lens every which way and create some really neat shots for yourself.
